What is IELTS? How much bands are require for different countries

IELTS is International English Language Testing System. Its is actually for, english language test, candidate whose first language is not English . Purpose of this test is only to check whether one can live in english environment or not. There are scoring in this IELTS from 1 to 9 only and 0 is for  one who did not appear in exam. IELTS has its four section to check capabilities of a candidate in different area of english. Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking are the four section in which they test a candidate. In exam, first three sections are done on the same day and Speaking test is usually done in different day, might be one or two day early or later.

Who Conducts IELTS?

There are two organisations who conduct this exam. British Council and IDP Australia are institutions that conduct this IELTS but there is an another organisation that makes this test which is Cambridge University. These three organisation are conducting IELTS. In two modules one is Academic Module for them who want to study over there and another is for who want to work there is General training module .

PTE is another test which is computer based Test which is also acceptable in many countries. PTE stands for Pearson Test of English Academic or general training.

There are variety in bands requirement. It depends upon the country and college you are looking for and in which, course, you want to take admission. If you want to take admission in UK you should aim for 7 bands.

For PTE you should score for equivalent to IELTS bands

These score are average acceptable to all countries. Time to time it may vary. This is a rough idea corresponding to type of courses. These band score are not merely responsible to get admission in a college. One should follow all requirements of admission.

For General training module

General training module is the one in which band score gives you points which help you to immigrate in a country. Generally, A candidate should get Overall band score is 8 and should get minimum 7 bands in each section. Higher you get bands higher the chance to get work permit or permanent resident.
